Your daily command center with tasks, insights, and AI briefings.
The Dashboard is your home screen in Dial8 — a daily command center that shows everything you need to focus on today.
Daily View
The dashboard greets you with a time-aware message (good morning/afternoon/evening) and shows today's key stats:
- Notes created today
- Tasks completed today
- Tasks due today
- Overdue tasks
- Active goals with progress
Dashboard Tabs

Task Management
Tasks on the dashboard are grouped by due date:
- Overdue — Past-due items highlighted for attention
- Today — What's due now
- Tomorrow — Coming up next
- This Week / This Month / Later — Future items
- No Due Date — Unscheduled tasks
- AI Suggestions — Tasks suggested by the AI from meeting notes and conversations
Quick Capture
Create new tasks inline from the dashboard with due date, time, and priority pickers. No need to open a separate form.
Filtering & Sorting
- Filter by — List, status (confirmed, in-progress, completed, cancelled)
- Sort by — Due date, priority, created date, title, urgency score, or updated date
- Ascending/descending toggle
AI Daily Briefing
The AI generates a personalized daily briefing with:
- Executive summary of your day
- Top priorities scored by AI urgency and importance
- Active blockers preventing progress
- People to engage with suggested actions
- Themes across your work
- Workload assessment (overdue count, due today, high urgency items)
AI Suggestions
The AI proactively suggests actions based on your notes, meetings, and goals:
- Send an email or message
- Schedule a meeting
- Follow up with someone
- Delegate or escalate a task
- Set a reminder
Each suggestion includes reasoning and can be accepted, dismissed, or discussed with the AI.
Meeting Detection
When the dashboard detects an active or upcoming calendar meeting, it shows a banner with options to start recording.
